Trinity Baptist Church is first and foremost a Christian church. With the church around the world and through the ages, we affirm the doctrines of the Nicene Creed. Trinity belongs to the family of churches which have historically been called Particular Baptist churches (now more commonly known as Reformed Baptists or Grace Baptists).
Trinity Baptist Church is still a young church: it was only founded in 1985. What kind of church are we seeking to establish?
a) A worshipping church. We exist for God's glory, not our own. Our first priority must be to focus on God.
b) A Word-centred church. There must be humble submission to God's Word in its entirety. We must seek to know that Word and to obey it.
c) A witnessing church. We must be outward-looking, seeking to bring others to be worshippers of God and obedient to His Word.
d) A warm-hearted church. The members of the church should have a genuine care for one another. They should help and support each other in times of need.
e) A welcoming church. We must be ready to welcome other people into the fellowship, even if they come from a very different background.
f) A prayerful church. Unless God blesses the work, it will not succeed. We must recognise our dependence on God, and pray earnestly for the blessing we need.
Those are our aims. How well are we achieving them? Come along and find out!
